The coins are protected in an acrylic capsule and housed in a black presentation box. The outer shipper has a depiction of the new reverse artistry and the included Certificate of Authenticity features the Walking Liberty design.
These 2021 Proof American Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins have a new anti-counterfeiting security feature on the reeded edge in the form of a variation in the reeding. The coins also have an enhanced obverse field that now includes Adolph A. Weinman’s “AW” signature mark, just as it was found in the original 1916 design.
Walking Liberty is on the obverse of 2021-W 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins. The design depicts Liberty wrapped in the American flag walking toward the sun on the horizon. The “AW” initials are now found beneath “In God We Trust” on this side of the coin.
An all-new bald eagle is found on the reverse of the 2021-W 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Type 2 Coin. Designed by Emily Damstra, this vision shows the bald eagle descending with an oak branch in its talons.
